Homebound Services

Homebound is a free and convenient service that supplies library materials to people who are unable to come into the library.

This service is available for all ages and is provided free. 

Who Can Join?

You must be:

  1. A Milton resident with an active Milton Public Library card
  2. Homebound for three months or longer due to age, illness, or disability
  3. Have a volunteer or visitor come regularly to your home (ie: a relative or neighbour, church visitors, Allendale volunteers, Halton Helping Hands...)

How it Works?

Please fill out the form below. Once submitted and received, MPL staff will contact you for confirmation and then sign all items out to your account for a three-week loan period for your volunteer to pick up and deliver to you.

    What is Homebound Services?
    Homebound is a free and convenient service that supplies library materials to people who are unable to come into the library.

    This service is available for all ages and is provided free. Long term, short term and seasonal services are available.

    Who may receive this service?
    Persons of all ages confined at home, the hospital or other institution are eligible for Homebound Services.

    How to choose Library materials?

    Library employees select materials for you based on your profile, and/or you may place holds on items through the Library website/Library App.

    How to register?

    Please fill out the Application form.

    What materials can be borrowed?

    Homebound residents can choose from a number of different formats: audio books, large and regular print books. The library also carries materials in English and French and other world languages.
